One of Our Favorite Hiking Spots

Hidden Falls

So Auburn has a few hidden gems and Hidden Falls is probably my favorite of the bunch. Again, my mom (the internet wizard) found this perfect little hiking spot that had an overlook of a water fall. We packed our sandwiches, waters, and cheez-its (a necessity), and made the drive out there. It is not the easiest of places to find and once you get there you're like, "is this it?!" but keep walking past the bridge and down a few miles and you will be blown away, assuming you enjoy beautiful places. Make it to the end, and you can even go swimming after your hike.

The trail you want to take if you want to see the water fall and continue on down to the water, which makes for a perfect little lunch spot.

My cutie mom enjoying the overlook.

Because sometimes you have to get a laugh out of the little things.

Go at the right time of year and there are even berries growing! I was only brave enough to try them once, and they were actually quite good! And apparently not poisonous because I am still here today. Woo hoo!

I am lucky to call this woman my mom and my best friend. Days like this mean the world to me and make for some of the greatest memories. Now if only I had a time machine, and could make her 23 years old with me, life would be perfect! Still, I consider myself very blessed for having such a wonderful friend that will always be an enormous part of my life.
